First and foremost I am a Christian. I love my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I aim to live my life in line with God's Word the Holy Bible. I strive to be more Christlike everyday. He is my Strength, my Protector and my Provider.

My three children are my world. I can't describe the joy that pours from my soul because of them.

Life events over recent years have lead to new goals for my writing endeavors and ministry opportunities (current and future). I have several ideas for how I would like to incorporate some changes into my blog and Facebook page tied to my blog. Because I rarely have time to blog, I have started posting on Facebook more frequently...sharing my own thoughts and reposting other people's great articles/videos/etc. I hope you will join the conversations on both blog and Facebook and be encouraged!

Last year, I posted recipes for two types of Resurrection Cookies and how to teach your children the resurrection story through baking. You can read that post here. This year we are only going to make the following recipe which is the less complicated of the two types. This is […]

Computer Update

Finally, we got a new computer after my daughter dumped my coffee on the previous one a couple days ago! Who knew life without one for even a couple of days could delay things so much! Please bear with me as I try to catch up with my blog, business, […]

What Is Green And Has Three Leaves?

REPOST FROM MARCH 17, 2010: A Shamrock! Why three leaves instead of the “lucky” four leaf clover? Clovers can have three, four, or more leaves. “Shamrock” is used only to describe the three leaf clover (although people often don’t realize that). I think that it is  fun and exciting to […]

Prayer Requests (11)

Do You Observe Lent? Why or Why Not?

I am fairly new to the whole Lent concept. I was introduced to it a year or so ago. Got Questions?org gives this definition of Lent: “Lent is a period of fasting and repentance traditionally observed by Catholics and some Protestant denominations in preparation for Easter. The length of the […]
