The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers

This book by: Diane Stortz and illustrated by: Sheila Bailey is a board book that includes very condensed Bible stories. The titles of each story are as follows: A Perfect World (Creation), Safe in a Big Boat (Noah), Saving Baby Moses, Brave Queen Esther, Born in a Stable, Let the Children Come, The Saddest Day (Jesus’ Death), and Alive Again! (Resurrection). Each story is told in easy to understand language. They are not told using word for word scripture. Next to each title is a scripture reference for the story. Each page has beautiful illustrations that are unique to this book and unlike others I have seen in other children’s Bible story books. They are vibrant and colorful. The pink cover has a large heart and illustrated girls on it.

I would recommend this book for very young girls who love pretty books! I love the illustrations! I think that it is very important to teach children Bible stories at a young age. This book would be a perfect way to do that with these very basic stories. My 7 year old, who is learning how to read, is able to read this book with no problem. If you are looking for more accurate and detailed Bible stories, then this book is not for you.
