I have been reading some of my old poems/journal entries. Here is one that I wrote in 2003…
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
Sin and shame
have hidden your face.
When you look in the mirror
you see disgrace.
It seems that no one around you
can feel your pain.
But you know that it’s leaving a stain
on your heart.
It’s okay to make a cocoon.
So that God can transform you
into something brand new.
You are a butterfly;
so spread your wings and fly!
You are beautiful in God’s eyes!
The world is overwhelming
and your live is caving in.
Give your pain to Heaven
and let God make you whole…
Again!
Beautiful
I’ve been cocooned lately, distant and weak. Oh, that I might “give this pain to Heaven”.
