Praying Scripture: Ephesians (Ch. 6)

Read: Ephesians–Chapter 6

Key Verses: Ephesians 6:11-17 “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you will help me to continue to honor my mom(s) and dad(s) so that I can be a good example to my children. Help me teach my children how to be obedient to you and any authorities that you place over them. Help me to discipline my children out of love and not out of anger. I want to teach my children to have a servant’s heart; not only serving you but others around them. Thank you for the blessings you have given me. Lord, Thank you for protecting my family and I from the evil one. Help me to be strong so that I can stand up against the evil that I encounter. Clothe me with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. I pray that these things will be in my life and that I can teach my children how to keep them in their lives as well. I pray for those around the world who are risking their lives to spread the gospel. Protect them and bless them as they fearlessly present your truths to others. Thank you for your peace and love that you have given us. Amen.
