Last week I mentioned that in the past several years I have dealt with extreme sorrows and hurts in my life. During one of those times, my step-mom sent me a link to a song that made me cry. It was if God was speaking directly to me in order to comfort me in that moment. The song was called By Your Side by: Tenth Avenue North. When we unexpectedly went back to the US last summer; we bought the Tenth Avenue North CD. It quickly became a favorite (for both my husband and I) because many of the songs seemed to apply to our situations or give us the comfort we so desperately needed.

“Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains!

For the LORD comforts his people

and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.” Isaiah 49:13

It is good to know that the Lord comforts his children! I may not always feel His presence but I know that He is always there. I know that He cares for me even in the depths of sorrow. Praise God!
