Southeast Botanical Gardens-Okinawa, Japan

Today was such a beautiful day! So, as a family, we went to the Botanical Gardens for the first time since living in Okinawa (about 3 1/2 years). What a beautiful place…and its about 10 minutes away from our house! I do not claim to be a photographer but I love to take pictures (especially of flowers). So here are few of my favorite pics from today!

One of my favorite colors!

I love Butterflies!

We saw several different colors of similar flowers with the lily pads:

Peach

Yellow

Purple

White

Periwinkle

and Pink

Okinawa is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been. We have such beautiful scenery here! How can you gaze on such beauty and not praise God for his amazing creation!

“You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.” Nehemiah 9:6

And two more of God’s beautiful creations!

  1. This comment was sent to me by my Aunt Adele through personal e-mail:

“Yes, I agree! All of nature declares the glory of God. I think the variety of color, form and pattern in nature is one of my favorite aspects of creation. When I look out my window into my backyard in the spring, there are at least fifteen different shades of green alone as all of the grasses, plants and trees come to life. I was just telling Uncle John that my favorite shade of green is the color of new needles on a dwarf alberta spruce (a little evergreen tree.)

Then think of the patterns and design in just the fur coats of animals: zebra stripes, cheetah spots, giraffes, tuxedo cats, snow leopards, tigers, and so on. As you say, how can anyone not believe a Master Designer is behind all of this amazing beauty! And don’t get me started on the wonder of the design of each aspect of the human body, the stars and planets, the oceans and the earth! Read Psalm 104….a hymn to the Creator!! Thanks for sharing your pix!”

  2. Hi Alysa – Beautiful pix, and beautiful colors. It’s amazing that God could compose such phenomenal beauty with such an incredible array of colors. Gorgeous! And those little girls fit in perfectly as well. Love you all.
